Business Card Production

I thought I would put my embossing stamp to good use and develop some business cards. My old ones are outdated, as well as looking a little cheap. I printed out a simple, minimal layout of my name, profession and contact details on a range of coloured stock. I think it would be good to have a range as it allows people to pick out the colours they prefer, it adds a little personal touch to something as uniform as a business card.

I triplexed the business card with white card and another layer of coloured stock, but this time plain. It allowed me to experiment with my embossing stamp in terms of placement and which sides.

Experimenting with multi-coloured business cards. This one is orange on the back, so I will have an orange variant with both red and blue. It adds a little interest and is something that is easy to do manufacturing myself, but could be expensive if sent to a printers.

Before and after embossing. I decided to opt for the bottom left of the plain side, as it looks more structured on the other side. Although I tested a business card that was embossed on one side, then flat on the other, I like the effect my stamp gives off on the reverse. It fills in the space nicely and I haven't really seen it done like this very much. It'd be good to have a business card that promotes as much interest as possible.
